built a global audience of more than 17 million followers through her distinctive blend of fashion, food,
and elevated lifestyle storytelling.
Born in Frankfurt to a South African mother and German father, Nara developed an early appreciation
for cooking alongside her father and grandmother. Discovered at 14, she began her modeling career, laying the foundation for the refined, cinematic aesthetic that defines her work today.
Nara rose to prominence through her uniquely stylized social content, where she blends high fashion with from scratch cooking and family life. What began as a personal response to severe eczema and autoimmune issues evolved into an intentional practice centered on nourishment, routine, and care.
She has partnered with leading fashion brands including Miu Miu, Schiaparelli, Calvin Klein, and Reformation, and launched a limited edition roasted garlic oil with Algae Cooking Club.
Based in Connecticut with her husband, Lucky Blue Smith, and their four children, Nara will release her
debut cookbook, Homemade, on October 13 through HarperCollins. The book features 85 from scratch
recipes inspired by her multicultural upbringing.
